
Monthly Meeting Minutes for the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group

Welcome, Pledge of Allegiance and Words from the President
Mr. Range called the meeting to order at 6:40 PM ET. In-person participation count was 23 attendees.
Approval of Minutes from Last Meeting
Mr. Range asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the January 2, 2025, meeting as presented on the website. Peter Kahuda made a motion, seconded by Tammy Kozinski. Motion passed.
President’s Report
Mr. Range reported on the following:
- Announcement of the appointment of Joshua Benham as Web Director.
- Upcoming rides and events:
- Saturday February 8: ride to Squid Lips, Cocoa Beach. KSU at 9:30 AM, departing from Indian Dealership in Daytona Beach. Bruce Davis is leading and we will be joined by the Palm Bay and Jacksonville IMRG chapters.
- Saturday February 20: Swap Your Swag event at dealership.
- Reminder that the March monthly meeting falls during Daytona Bike Week, and due to the need to prepare for the events and rides it will be moved to Thursday February 27.
- Bike Week 2025 – Corporate Sponsored Rides and Events:
- Saturday March 1st: will begin with an 8:30 AM breakfast at dealership, then 10 AM KSU, followed by a short ride through Daytona Main Street, Ormond Loop and back to dealership. Mr. Range, who will lead the ride, called for all Ride Captain’s participation, and for volunteers to help organize the parking lot and group departure. Upon returning to the dealership there will be food trucks and live music.
- Saturday March 1: Main Street Party: Owners only event at 6 PM organized by Indian Corporate. Live music, guests and giveaways. Attendees will need to show their key fobs or proof of ownership to enter.
- Saturday March 8: ridefrom Sanford dealership to Renegades on the River. Free lunch requiring previous online registration. IMRG 1949 will meet at the Daytona dealership and ride together to join Sanford chapter for the ride to the restaurant.
- Friday March 7: 2nd Annual Speedway Tailgate: owner exclusive event at the International Speedway. For registered attendees only, there will be a giveaway of tickets to the races that day.
- Daily rides departing from our Daytona dealership organized by our IMRG and the Activities Committee during Bike Week. Ride schedule will be announced in our Facebook page and rides are expected to be smaller groups with different Road Captains leading.
Vice President’s and Membership Report
Mr. Dougherty reported:
- Welcome and introduction to new member Mark Culberson.
- Ongoing collection of membership forms and dues for 2025.
- Ride Skills/Safety practice took place on Friday January 31 at the dealership parking lot with the direction of Andy Brodis and the participation of other members. Our chapter will be offering more opportunities for these practices regularly in the coming months.
- Announcement of the 2025 Mileage Masters Contest: please send Mr. Dougherty a picture of your odometer, and the rider with the most accumulated miles by February 2026 will receive an award.
Treasurer’s Report
Ms. Kozinski reported the following:
- Report on the current balance in the bank account and cash funds.
- Former President Mike Viens will be meeting with former Treasurer’s family member to resolve access to the Wells Fargo bank account with the IMRG funds. Funds once retrieved will be kept at our IMRG safe.
Action Item: Report outcome at next meeting.
- The IMRG cash safe box that is kept on site at the dealership will be available to be used during Bike Week next month. Ms. Kozinski and Connor at the dealership have access.
- Action Item for a future meeting: Deciding and possibly voting on a cash-only operation vs opening a new bank account.
Secretary Report:
Ms. Dougherty presented on the Indian Ladies First Group, an association of female Indian and Victory riders and passengers, which is expanding its presence in Europe, the US and around the world. Indian Ladies First is since January 2024 the official female branch of Indian Motorcycles. Ms. Dougherty announced that she has been appointed as the Daytona Beach Coordinator and will work in partnership with the Daytona dealership and the IMRG to promote the group.
Web Director’s Report:
Newly appointed Web Director Joshua Benham reported on the following:
- Currently re-designing the IMRG website to take it to the next level. He will also serve as admin for the two Facebook groups and the Instagram page, which he has actively been populating with photographs and videos members have been sending.
- The website domain needs to be renewed for one more year ($22). Mr. Benham called for a motion to approve the expense: Jeff Duckworth made the motion, Peter Kahuda seconded. Motion passed
- Mr. Benham would like to change the current host for our website to GoDaddy, which offers more flexibility and better features at an affordable cost. He presented a draft of how our new site would look, which was very well received by members present. He then called for a motion to approve migrating the webhosting service to GoDaddy. Ms. Kozinski made the motion and Mr. Dougherty seconded. Motion passed.
- Lastly, Mr. Benham encouraged members to give their feedback and suggestions and to continue to send materials for the website and social media pages.
Safety Director’s Report
Mr. Morris was absent, and Mr. Range and Mr. Dougherty reported on his behalf on the upcoming rides and safety skills practice.
Activities Committee’s Report
Ms. Davis reported on the following:
- Reminder to sign up the volunteer sheet for the rides and manning membership table during Bike Week. Mr. Duckworth encouraged members present to sign up and volunteer.
- March 2025 Bike Week Daily Rides: there will be rides starting at 9:30 AM on the days when no corporate events/rides are taking place, beginning on Friday February 28 (ride to Fort Christmas led by Bruce Davis). Rides will depart from and return to the dealership and will be announced on our Facebook pages and advertised by the dealership.
- Our dealership donated an EZ-UP (tent) for the IMRG to set up our membership table during the duration of Bike Week. The EZ-UP needed a new canopy with IMRG graphics, which the Activities Committee has purchased and will be ready in time for Bike Week.
- Ms. Davis announced that we will be holding raffles and a new ring-toss game to collect funds for our group during Bike Week.
Final Comments and Adjournment
Former President Mike Viens shared with the group that Ms. Lynnae Buie (Bemmels) will work with him on a date to go together to a Wells Fargo branch and get the IMRG funds released from the bank account her father managed.
Not being any further business, Mr. Range adjourned the meeting at 8:15 PM ET.
