Monthly Meeting Minutes for the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group

Thursday February 5, 2026 – 6:30 PM ET

Officers present:

Fran Dougherty, President & Membership Director, Ron Range, Vice President, May

Officers/Volunteers absent: none

Welcome, Pledge of Allegiance and Words from the President

Mr. Dougherty called the meeting to order at 6:34 PM ET. In-person participation count was

22 members. Mr. Dougherty welcomed members present.

Approval of Minutes from Last Meeting

Mr. Dougherty asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the January 8, 2026, meeting as

presented on the website. Ron Range made a motion, seconded by Deborah Hinzman.

Motion passed.

President’s Report

Mr. Dougherty reported on the following:

• Reminder: membership renewals and dues are still ongoing. Payment portal is open.

• Recap of the January’s rides.

• Bike Week rides updates and more info on the corporate sponsored events in

Daytona and Sanford.

• Update on 125th Anniversary IMC event in LA

• Date for Folds of Honor 2026 is September 19.

• March meeting falls during Bike Week and we are switching the date to Thursday

February 26

• Knife making workshop event will have its own patch for those attending. A sample

was presented and approved.

Membership Report

• Mr. Dougherty mentioned that we have now 44 members.

• Since we have several new members, Mr. Dougherty initiated a round of

introductions.

Vice President’s Report

Mr. Range reported on the following:

• IMRG poker chips have been ordered

• During the Durango Rendezvous event in June, Mr. Rage will be a conductor for the

train to Silverton. Members who attend are invited to go on the train ride.

• Additional information on Bike Week Owners rides.

• Additional information on the 125th Anniversary gathering outcomes.

Treasurer’s Report

Ms. Davis reported that she has now full access to the chapter funds at Wells Fargo bank.

She also reported on the available funds and mentioned that she is currently working on

creating a yearly budget for 2026 and beyond.

Secretary’s Report:

Ms. Dougherty gave an update on the IMRG Women’s committee to improve women’s

experience within their IMRGs. The phase 1 survey’s results were shared with the IMRG

Presidents, and the committee has now entered a second phase where there will be a

second survey to be launched in the next coming days.

Marketing Director’s Report

Mr. Duckworth mentioned the following:

• He has purchased NFC cards for our group, which will have information on the

routes for all Bike Week rides. When tapped with a phone the card takes the user to

the route in Ride Command.

Web Director’s Report:

Mr. Benham asked members if they have any feedback on the website, to please

reach out.

Safety Director’s Report

• Mr. Morris will be leading a workshop to improve our rider’s technical skills (how to

plug a tire in an emergency, etc.)

Activities Committee’s Report

Ms. Davis reported on the following:

• Planning for Bike Week 2026 is underway, we will have our membership drive tent,

daily rides, etc. Call for volunteers to help.

• Membership tent: we will have a 50/50 to raise funds for Folds of Honor and the

chapter’s ring toss game will be open.

• Reminder of our chapter’s 2026 events:

o Knife making workshop in Gainesville.

o Coast to Coast Ride to Cedar Key in September, booking hotel room at a

group rate is valid until June 1.

• Ms. Davis asked members to think of any events they would be interested in.

Ride Leader’s Report

Mr. Davis and Mr. Duckworth reported on the following:

• Our chapter will have rides every day during Bike Week, and except for two rides

with a restaurant destination, they will all be loops departing from and returning to

our dealership. Routes are currently being tested.

• Reminder of the upcoming Advanced Riders MSF Certificate on Sunday February 8.

Location is Harley Davidson in Destination Daytona.
