Monthly Meeting Minutes for the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group

Thursday February 26, 2026 – 6:30 PM ET (in lieu of March’s mtg.)

Welcome, Pledge of Allegiance and Words from the President
Mr. Dougherty called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM ET. In-person participation count was
26 members. Mr. Dougherty welcomed members present.
Approval of Minutes from Last Meeting
Mr. Dougherty asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the February 5, 2026, meeting
as presented on the website. Joshua Benham made a motion, seconded by Chris Evans.
Motion passed.
President’s Report
Mr. Dougherty reported on the following:
 Bike Week rides updates and more info on the Indian Corporate sponsored Owners
rides and events in Daytona and Sanford.
 Indian Corporate’s new CEO Mike Kennedy will attend our IMRG Saturday February
28 Owners Ride, along with the wrecking crew, Carey Hart, Big B and the European
leaders from Indian Ladies First.
 The Owner’s Ride route will be the Ormond Loop, rain or shine. We will have the
assistance of the FL Highway Patrol.
 Saturday February 28 Owners Event Party at the Beach with Kip Moore in concert.
 LAMA (Latin American Motorcycle Association) of St Agustine is organizing a First
Responders class in case of accident. Please let Fran know if there is interest.

Membership Report
 Mr. Dougherty mentioned that we have added 8 new members in the last week,
and the current count is 50 members.
 Since we had new members present, Mr. Dougherty initiated a round of
introductions.
Vice President’s Report
Mr. Range was absent due to traffic.

Treasurer’s Report
Ms. Davis reported on the current available funds in our bank account. She also mentioned
that she is currently working on a balance sheet.
Secretary’s Report:
Ms. Dougherty encouraged members to attend the Ladies Ride on March 1. The Indian
Ladies First European leaders will be the guests of honor.
Marketing Director’s Report
Mr. Duckworth mentioned the following:
 There will be 11 rides during Bike Week, and the routes will be available to the ride
leaders in USB devices. Please return them after BW to Mr. Duckworth.
 Bike Week reminder of the Daytona Beach laws regarding motorcycles.
 Mr. Duckworth mentioned that our social media strategy is working and one of our
Facebook posts got close to 10,000 likes for the first time.
 Call for a volunteer to lead the fundraising efforts for Folds of Honor this year.
 Recognition to member Alan Southerland as the most engaged member in social
media.
Web Director’s Report:
 Mr. Benham did not have anything to report at this time.
Safety Director’s Report
 Mr. Morris will be giving a safety speech at the Owners ride on February 28.
Activities Committee’s Report
Ms. Davis reported on the following:
 Planning for Bike Week 2026: we will have a 50/50 to raise funds for Folds of Honor
and the chapter’s ring toss game will be open.
 Reminder of our chapter’s 2026 events:
o Knife making workshop in Gainesville in April.
o Coast to Coast Ride to Cedar Key in September.

Ride Leader’s Report
Mr. Davis and Mr. Duckworth reported on the following:
 Debrief on the two February rides.
 Report on the Advanced Riders MSF Certificate course on Sunday February 8,
which was well attended.
 Our chapter will have Fun Rides every day during Bike Week, and except for two
rides with a restaurant destination (Puddle Jumpers and Woodpeckers), they will
all be loops departing from and returning to our dealership.
 During the summer months rides will be shorter and start earlier.
Adjournment
Members open floor: Mr. Chris Evans gave a shoutout to our Daytona Beach dealership for
the excellent and quick service he received.
With no further business, Mr. Dougherty adjourned the meeting at 7:50 PM ET.
