Monthly Meeting Minutes for the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group

Welcome, Pledge of Allegiance and Words from the President
Mr. Dougherty called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM ET. In-person participation count was
21 members and 4 guests. Mr. Dougherty welcomed everyone present to his first meeting as
chapter President.
Approval of Minutes from Last Meeting
Mr. Dougherty asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the December 4, 2025, meeting
as presented on the website. Peter Kahuda made a motion, seconded by Ron Range. Motion
passed.
President’s Report
Mr. Dougherty reported on the following:

  • Recap of the Officer’s election in December.
  • Our chapter has been renewed for 2026 in the Council portal.
  • Ghost Riders tour in Mobile, Alabama, May 15-17 registration is open, limited space.
  • Upcoming June 2026 events: the Gathering in SC, the Gettysburg, PA rally and the
    Durango Rendezvous in CO.
  • Indian Corporate sponsored Bike Week rides are Saturday February 28 (Daytona
    Beach) and Sanford on Saturday March 8.
  • Jack Daniels Owner’s ride in October will stay in Chattanooga this year.
    Membership Report
  • Mr. Dougherty reminded everyone that January is the month to renew memberships
    and that forms and credit card payments are available online on our chapter’s
    website.
  • We welcomed three new members to this meeting.
    Vice President’s Report
    Mr. Range reported on the following:
  • Call for volunteers to learn the March 1 ride route, which is in Ride Command.
  • This Saturday January 10 we will ride to the Ace Café in Sanford. KSU at 10 am from
    the dealership. The Orlando chapter also has a ride to the Ace Café that day.

Treasurer’s Report
Ms. Davis reported that she is currently working with Mr. Range on gaining access to the
chapter funds at Wells Fargo bank.
Secretary’s Report:
Ms. Dougherty gave an update on the March 1 Bike Week Ladies Ride.
Marketing Director’s Report
Mr. Duckworth mentioned the following updates:

  • Announcement of May Dougherty appointment as the Indian Ladies First Vice
    President for the US Eastern Region.
  • Open for ideas for social media posts.
  • Tucker our IMRG mascot is gaining recognition.
    Web Director’s Report:
  • Mr. Benham reminded members that our website is currently accepting membership
    renewals, waivers, payment of dues and that IMRG patches can be purchased online
    as well.
  • If members have any feedback on the website, please reach out to Mr. Benham.
    Safety Director’s Report
  • Mr. Morris was absent.
    Activities Committee’s Report
    Ms. Davis reported on the following:
  • Recap of the December Magnolia Manor Assisted Living facility in Daytona Beach.
  • Planning for Bike Week 2026 is underway.
  • 2026 events:
    o Knife making workshop in Gainesville: only 8 spots available, cost $125 x
    person. Date will be in April.
    o Coast to Coast Ride to Cedar Key in September, booking hotel room at a
    group rate is until June 1.
    o Suggested events are picnic/lunch in Ravine Gardens (Palatka); Country
    Line Saloon, The Gathering in Clemson, SC. Web Director will add events to
    the online calendar.

Ride Leader’s Report
Mr. Davis and Mr. Duckworth reported on the following:

  • Our chapter will have rides every day during Bike Week, and except for two rides
    with a restaurant destination, they will all be loops departing from and returning to
    our dealership. We need more volunteers for ride leaders and tail gunners.
  • Proposed ride to Country Line Saloon in De Leon Springs.
  • Leesburg, FL Bikefest 2026, April 24-26.
  • Advanced Riders MSF Certificate open to 10-12 riders this coming February.
    Important if you are or would like to be a Ride Leader/Road Captain. Registration is
    $99 x rider. Location is Harley Davidson in Destination Daytona.
