Monthly Meeting Minutes for the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group

Welcome, Pledge of Allegiance and Words from the President
Mr. Range called the meeting to order at 6:49 PM ET. In-person participation count was 19 attendees.
Approval of Minutes from Last Meeting
Mr. Range asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the December 5, 2024, meeting as presented on the website. Deborah Hinzman made a motion, seconded by Peter Kahuda. Motion passed.
President’s Report:
Mr. Range reported on the following:
Upcoming rides and events:
▪ Saturday January 11: ride to Captain’s Barbeque, Bruce Davis leading. KSU at 10:15 AM at Love’s Travel Stop Destination Daytona.
▪ Sunday January 26: ride to Outback Crab Shack in St. Augustine, KSU is 10 AM, at Love’s Travel Stop Destination Daytona.
▪ Saturday February 8: ride to Squid Lips, Cocoa Beach. KSU at 9:30 AM, departing from Indian Dealership in Daytona Beach. Led by Bruce Davis.
▪ IMRG Jack Daniels Ride will take place on October 10, 2025, in Chattanooga, TN.
▪ Indian Ghost Riders weekend in St. Augustine in April 2025. Spaces are still available.
Reminder of next monthly meeting on Thursday February 6 at Houligan’s.
The March monthly meeting falls during Daytona Bike Week, and due to the need to prepare for the events and rides it will be moved to Thursday February 27.
Bike Week 2025 – Friday February 28 to Sunday March 9
Indian Corporate ride on the first weekend (Saturday March 1st), which will begin with an 8:30 AM breakfast at dealership, then 10 AM KSU, followed by a short ride through Daytona Main Street, Ormond Loop and back to dealership. Mr. Range who will lead the ride, called for all Ride Captain’s participation, and for volunteers to help organize parking lot and group departure. He also mentioned Carey Hart will participate in the ride.
There will be another Indian Corporate ride on Saturday March 8, from Sanford dealership to Renegades on the River.
Saturday March 1 Block Party organized by Indian Corporate. More information to come.
Flat track events (more information to come).
Daily rides departing from our Daytona dealership organized by our IMRG and the Activities Committee during Bike Week.
The Activities Committee will be setting up a Membership drive table at the dealership. Planning on organizing raffles and games to attract the public and raise funds for the IMRG.
Future meetings at the dealership: discussion on viability and space available for a monthly meeting.
Vice President’s and Membership Report
Mr. Dougherty reported:
No new members at this time.
Ongoing collection of membership forms and dues for 2025.
New membership dues structure in effect: rider fee: $20; family membership: rider plus passenger: $30. Members present were in agreement.
Mr. Dougherty commented on the upcoming IMRG “The Gathering” which will take place at the end of May in Maggie Valley, NC. Several members confirmed they are attending.
Treasurer’s Report
Ms. Kozinski reported the following:
Acting Treasurer Mike Viens transferred information and IMRG funds to Ms. Kozinski. Action Item: Regarding the bank account that has been locked, Mr. Range and Mr. Viens will meet with Wells Fargo representatives in the next coming days to continue the process of extracting funds and closing the account. Report outcome at next meeting.
Report on the current balance in the bank account and cash funds.
Ms. Kozinski reported on her visit to the Daytona dealership to inquire about the IMRG cash box that is kept on site.
Ms. Kozinski recommended that after the funds are recovered, that the IMRG run a cash-only operation. Members present commented and discussed.
Action Item: Cash-only operation vs opening a new bank account will be voted at the next meeting.
Secretary Report:
Ms. Dougherty commented that she is working with the Activities Committee on creating a calendar of Events for 2025, and to resurface past suggestions for events, presentations and activities.
Web Director’s Report:
Mr. Range (Web Director position is vacant) reported that Steve Morris’ son has agreed to take over website management. Member Joshua Benham, who was present at the meeting, also offered to work on getting the website operational.
Safety Director’s Report
Mr. Morris was absent, but Mr. Dougherty reported on his behalf that a group chat will be created for Road Directors to suggest and discuss rides.
Activities Committee’s Report
Ms. Davis reported on the following:
March 2025 Bike Week: there will be rides every day in addition to the official IMRG rides. Rides will be short and departing/returning to the dealership.
Dealership offered to provide an EZ-UP (tent) for the IMRG to set up a membership table at a designated location at the dealership during the duration of Bike Week.
Action Item: Mr. Range will confirm EZ-UP with dealership.
Call for more volunteers to help the Activities committee.
Final Comments and Adjournment
Long-time member Peter Kahuda shared with the group good news about his health, and members wished a speedy recovery to Chris Evans who is currently recovering from knee surgery.
Not being any further business, Mr. Range adjourned the meeting at 7:46 PM ET.
