Monthly Meeting Minutes for the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group

Officers present:
Fran Dougherty, President & Membership Director, Ron Range, Vice President, May
Dougherty, Secretary, Therese Davis, Treasurer, Jeff Duckworth, Marketing Director, Joshua
Benham, Web Director.
Volunteer Positions: Therese Davis, Activities Committee, Bruce Davis, Activities Committee
and Ride Leader, Jeff Duckworth, Activities Committee and Ride Leader.
Officers/Volunteers absent: Steve Morris, Safety Director.
Welcome, Pledge of Allegiance and Words from the President
Mr. Dougherty called the meeting to order at 6:33 PM ET. In-person participation count was
20 members. Mr. Dougherty welcomed members present.
Approval of Minutes from Last Meeting
Mr. Dougherty asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the July 9, 2026, meeting as
presented on the website. Paula Maxwell made a motion, seconded by Jim Hinzman.
Motion passed.
President’s Report
Mr. Dougherty reported on the following:
Announcement of important changes within the IMRG Council: Chairman Pat
Scanlon has retired, and his successor is Vice Chair and Southeast Region Regional
Coordinator, JT McClain.
Recap of the July 25 First Responders all day class in St Agustine, organized by
LAMA. Our IMRG was well represented and learned valuable skills on how to
respond in case of an accident.
Upcoming event: Jack Daniel’s Owners Ride (October 1-3) in Chattanooga, TN. There
are still a few available registrations.
Upcoming Biketoberfest (October 15-18)
Mention of the very successful Western Canada IMR Celebration last month, and
next year the Eastern Canada IMR Celebration in Prince Edward Island (June 30-
July4 2027).
Membership Report
Mr. Dougherty mentioned that our chapter currently has 64 members and
introduced new member present Darrin Oliver.
Vice President’s Report
Mr. Range reported that he is making poker chips to commemorate events like
Biketoberfest and Bike Week. Poker chips will have our IMRG logo and a QR code.
The October meeting will be changed to the 8 th due to leadership attending Jack
Daniel’s event.
Treasurer’s Report
Ms. Davis reported on the current available funds in our bank account and our t-
shirts inventory.
Future expenses are the IMRG chapter Christmas party in December.
Secretary’s Report:
Ms. Dougherty announced that next month there will be news pertaining the
women in IMRG Women Riders Subcommittee work.
Indian Ladies First and Chattanooga IMRG #1985 are organizing a Ladies Ride during
the Jack Daniel’s event week (October 1)
Marketing Director’s Report
Mr. Duckworth engaged members in a trivia game with prizes.
Web Director’s Report:
Mr. Benham mentioned that our website is due to be renewed in February 2027.
Safety Director’s Report
Mr. Morris was absent.
Activities Committee’s Report
Ms. Davis reported on the following:
Folds of Honor fundraiser beach clean-up event in partnership with Starbucks on
Saturday 8/8. Our dealership donated swag, and we will set up a tent with water
for participants.
Reminder of the Coast-to-Coast overnight ride to Cedar Key on September12-13.
Biketoberfest preparations are underway. Our IMRG will do daily rides which will
be advertised by the dealership’s marketing dept.
October 24 Dinner River Cruise in Daytona confirmed.
Breakfast in De Leon Springs State Park.
Christmas Party on December 12. Mr. Dougherty asked members for donations.
Planning for an April 2027 Picnic, at Fort Matanzas State Park in St. Agustine.
Ride Leader’s Report
Mr. Davis and Mr. Duckworth reported on the following:
A recap of last month’s (July) rides to Kelly’s Ice Cream in Oviedo and the Potato
Patch in Deland, which had 10 and 11 bikes respectively. Attendance is lower in the
summer months.
August 16 ride to JB’s Fish Camp.
There is a pop-up ride to Shrimp R Us in Seville organized by Andy Brodis.
We are working with the dealership on a ride to support FoH on Saturday
September 19.
Mr. Davis asked for suggestions for future rides.
Plans for Biketoberfest underway. Daily rides Thursday through Sunday with a 1
PM KSU, except for a morning Corporate Ride
