Monthly Meeting Minutes for the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group

Welcome, Pledge of Allegiance and Words from the President
Mr. Dougherty called the meeting to order at 6:39 PM ET. In-person participation count was
28 members. Mr. Dougherty welcomed members present.
Approval of Minutes from Last Meeting
Mr. Dougherty asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the February 26, 2026,
meeting as presented on the website. Ron Range made a motion, seconded by Jim Hinzman.
Motion passed.
President’s Report
Mr. Dougherty reported on the following:
 Recap and comments on last month’s Bike Week. Some highlights included our
chapter’s Owners ride and the Ladies ride, both very successful; daily rides
attendance; and the ILF European Ladies First bringing great energy to all events.
The Daytona Beach Indian dealership established a new sales record and recognized
our chapter.
 There is a possibility that our chapter will organize an Official Owners ride during
Biketoberfest 2026.
 Details of the Knife Making Workshop and ride to Gainesville.
 Indian Riders Ghost Tour in Mobile Alabama. There is a group chat for those
attending to discuss details and coordinate.
 Lake Okeechobee multi chapter event: Is there interest in attending?
 LAMA (Latin American Motorcycle Association) of St Agustine is organizing a First
Responders class in case of accident on July 25. Please let Fran know if there is
interest.

Membership Report
 Mr. Dougherty mentioned that we have added 7 new members in the last month.
 Since we had several new members present, Mr. Dougherty initiated a round of
introductions.

Vice President’s Report
 Mr. Range thanked everyone for all the hard work and the support and enthusiasm
members showed for our Bike Week events.
 He also commented on the Indian CEO Mike Kennedy’s interview with Riding Fish,
where he talks about Bike Week, the IMRGs, demo rides and record sales.
Treasurer’s Report
 Ms. Davis reported on the current available funds in our bank account.
 She also mentioned that our chapter sold patches, t-shirts and 50/50 raffle tickets
during Bike Week.
 Ms. Davis strives for a full transparency policy to disclose the spending of our
chapter funds.
 Members gave a few suggestions to utilize our funds for events or expenses that are
relevant to the group: a picnic at a State Park, pins and patches for exchange with
other chapters during events were noted.
Secretary’s Report:
 Ms. Dougherty thanked everyone for supporting the March 1 Ladies Ride and
mentioned that the teamwork made it successful. We will organize a Ladies Ride
every year.
 Saturday May 2 is International Female Ride Day and our chapter is planning a ride
with the support of our dealership.
 Ms. Dougherty asked members present if there is interest in organizing a workshop
to learn about knowing your bike, patching a tire demonstration and other safety
related topics, which will be led by our Safety Director Steve Morris. It was agreed
that this might need to wait until the Fall when Mr. Morris is available.
Marketing Director’s Report
Mr. Duckworth mentioned the following:
 Social media exploded with activity during Bike Week.
 Mr. Duckworth highlighted an online interview on social media where Mike Kennedy
spoke on very positive terms about Bike Week and the IMRG community.
 Our chapter’s leaders reported live to the Throttle & Iron podcast during Bike Week
from our dealership.
 Vroom Old Man will celebrate reaching his goals to fundraise and create awareness
on Myotropic Dystrophy with a party on April 25 in Ft Myers, FL. There will be a
group ride to participate in the celebration.
Web Director’s Report:
 Mr. Benham reminded members that the registration forms are available on our
website and asked members to reach out to him if they had feedback.
Safety Director’s Report
 Mr. Morris was absent.

Activities Committee’s Report

Ms. Davis reported on the following:
 Successful Bike Week 2026.
 Folds of Honors 2026 charity: members Cristin and Chad Klaus will be co-chairs and
leading our IMRG fundraising strategy and efforts.
 We are looking at purchasing a custom side panel for our IMRG tent, with the
collaboration of Jason Dement from Brave Wolf.
 Still time to book a room at the Serenity hotel for the Coast-to-Coast overnight ride
to Cedar Key in September (deadline is 6/1).
Ride Leader’s Report
Mr. Davis and Mr. Duckworth reported on the following:
 Reminder that the Knife Making class and ride to Gainesville is this coming
weekend on April 4.
 Debrief and comments on the Bike week daily rides.
